Welcome Home, Patricia Kopta, age 83 (FOUND)

Day 12 of 30.
Last seen in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the summer of 1992. Patricia had gone missing for 30 years and her husband and family had all believed she was dead. Patricia had mental issues and believed her family was going to put her in nursing home in Pennsylvania, which she did not want. It is believed she may have left her home of her own volition and got lost.
Remarkably after years of searching, Interpol and a social worker contacted missing persons after years of not talking about her past, Patricia began talking about where she came from and her past life. The social worker began learning bits of her history and contacted Interpol.
Patricia, long believed deceased by her friends & family, had been found in need, walking in the streets of Puerto Rico in 1992. She refused to discuss her past or where she came from for many years. She was taken in and cared for in a nursing home in Puerto Rico for the entire 30 years that she was missing. Once she began talking, DNA from her sister and her nephew confirmed it was indeed her.
She had always wanted to be in a warm place for her later years and had often said this prior to going missing.
This room was decorated as a welcome back setting that the nursing home decorated for their long time resident, Patricia Kopta to be reunited with her relatives and let them see her and know that she was indeed alive and no longer missing!
After the reunion, it is unclear if Patricia decided to remain in Puerto Rico under the nursing homes great care that she was given or return to Pennsylvania with her now "distant husband and relatives.".
Patricia has dementia now and probably just wants to live out her life in peace and Harmony and probably, warm weather.

Yes, I agree, Hope is a powerful tool!!! Luckily, the current generation is so much more aware and savvy about the world… I was very naive in those days. My grandkids are eons ahead of me in comparison!!! I have such great respect for how they are tackling the problems they are inheriting. Their generation is our hope for a better future for everyone! 🙏🙏🙏🙏💕💕💕💕💕

Just design a room for a missing person to return to and use the hashtag #EmptyKids30, that's it. We are creating ours based on actual missing persons and their back stories. You can find them at NamUs.org or Missingpersons.org or by just googling missing children/people. That is how we are customizing and personalizing our designs to fit the ages and likes or colors the missing person was last wearing. Good luck!!

I wanted to add a great encouraging true story to keep the hope and show that against all odds, people can prevail. Just like the lady in the submerged jeep in the lake who was alive when they recovered her sunken car a few days ago. Another wild miracle! There's always HOPE! 👍💝💗💞💗👍
