A room for Greta. The concrete challenge.

Greta is a sub-editor for many years and stayed in many hotel rooms which made her used to a certain standard of living. The challenge was to transform a concrete space into the style of a luxury apartment suite. The original terrazzo floor was kept in the space and it flows seamlessly from the bedroom into the bathroom. A color scheme of off white and tan with warm spice colors were used. Gold as metal was preferred by the client. Concrete finish on some walls kept intact.

The original building is in a warehouse restoration building in the city. The space has a slightly A-symmetrical shape with the bathroom at one end. Original concrete wall were kept intact where possible and a slightly patterned wallpaper was use on the rest of the walls in the bedroom.

a Luxury free standing bath was fitted with a panoramic view out on the city. Gold metal was used as highlights in the space. A lovely tribal rug from one of her travels was used on the floor.
