Hello fellow designers. Are there any of you here who offer your services on Homestyler? What have your experiences with clients been like? Despite receiving many inquiries, I struggle to convert them into actual clients due to pricing issues. Don't you think the price ranges in the request form—specifically for floor plans with visualizations—should be higher? Currently, the range starts at $0 and goes up to $100. Many clients select a bracket that implies I would perform the service for free or for a maximum of $100. If I explain that a service like an apartment design with visualizations costs more, the client backs out, claiming it’s too expensive. Should we—designers with real expertise and skills—really be selling our services for the price of a single supermarket grocery run and accepting that as okay? @Homestyler, perhaps it’s time to start educating potential clients who seek professional help about the actual cost of these services. Maybe we should consider adjusting the pricing options in the form—adding choices for a single room, multiple rooms, or an entire house, and scaling the rates offered for the designer's work accordingly.
