In my city, many of the downtown Victorian houses were elevated because of flooding. However, with modern levees, sloping. drainage, etc. the lower levels have been turned into rooms. This is a room just below street level that is being used as a guest quarters. The loveseat folds out into a bed, and behind the door is the bathroom (3/4). California casual style.
