Overview
Homestyler Design Award (HSDA) is the annual design contest of Homestyler that opens to all designers and design enthusiasts worldwide. Last year, we addressed a rethinking of what designers could do to adapt to these changes after the epidemic in HSDA 2020. The whole world seems to be talking about "Metaverse" in 2021. So when metaverse and design collide, what will be the style? What would it be like if you can create a world centered by yourself?
As the second year of our annual design contest, HSDA 2021 would like to invite you to free your imagination and build your own metaverse! Forget about the budget, your job, your real-life responsibilities, or even your age, show us how you would picture your own world. You can build your dream home as a small but cozy room, or a large house with a swimming pool. You can also design a classroom that you wish to study in, your favorite restaurant to have brunch, or other public places where you communicate with other visitors of your metaverse~
The HSDA 2021 contest has two subcategories – Residential and Commercial, and we are eagerly calling for entries of creative works. Come and submit your innovative design!

Innovation will be the first criteria - whether you make the most innovative purpose of the room, or the most creative redecoration of the space. Remember to include your ideas in the project description! （25% Voting + 75% Innovation）

30% Voting+70% Jury Evaluation (1st ~ 30th of the ranking)

*The prize shall be awarded to the winners one month after the announcement.

Submission Guideline
- Design Style: Please choose one subcategory – residential or commercial – to create and submit your design. The design style is not limited. The same work shall only enter one subcategory.
- Project Name: the project name must contain the hashtag #HSDA2021Residential or #HSDA2021Commercial in your project name in order to submit your design to the preliminary selection pool.
- Render Quality&Quantity: each room/space must contain at least two 2K normal renders(or above resolution). And each design shall include the floor plan and an overall description of your design.
- Project Status: the project needs to be set to public status, otherwise it will not enter the selection.
- Number of Entries: the number of projects submitted is not limited, but each person shall only be awarded once for each award. (If your work has already been featured, you need to open your design and use the "save as" function to duplicate your design and submit it after you modify it according to submission requirements.)
- Floor Requirements: the project floor cannot exceed 5 floors (including basement)
- If your work is shortlisted and enters the preliminary selection pool, we will give you 10 points as a reward. The shortlisted works can be found in our Gallery under the “#Homestyler Design Award 2021" tag. Afterward, you could share your project and call for votes, and the final number of "likes" will be an important ranking criterion.
- We will post the final winner announcement in the forum within one month after the end of the competition, and will send it to all winners by email.

Submission Process
a）Please use Homestyler Floor Planner to create the design and renders that meet the requirements of the contest. After finishing the design, please go to "Edit Project" under the "My Designs" tab.
b）After editing your project, please add the hashtag #HSDA2021Residential or #HSDA2021Commercial at the beginning of your project name in order to submit your design to the preliminary selection pool. Make sure you leave a description of your design ideas and then update the floor plan.
c）Set your project to public status, and then register for the contest.
d）To register for the contest, please send your submitted project link to our contest email (Homestyler.contest@service.alibaba.com) along with your contact email address, and agree to our Intellectual Property Right. Please name the email with the title "HSDA2021 Registry"
Intellectual Property Rights
1. Each Participator shall guarantee that all the submitted work(s) must be original, each Participator shall guarantee to have full and complete intellectual rights to all the submitted works. If the same works are submitted by different authors, the one which is submitted first shall prevail. Any infringement or allegation of infringement of intellectual property rights, including but not limited to patent, trademark, design copyright and/or ownership and other rights, shall be the sole responsibility of the participant and have nothing to do with the Organizer (homestyler.com and its operator, the same meaning below) and its affiliates;
2. The organizer has the right to exhibit, publish, and publicize all entries in the competition, on the condition that the author's name or Homestyler ID was referenced along with the work. As to winning works, the participants should not transfer, publish and make it in other exhibitions and/or competitions, unless the organizer authorizes by written.
3. Entries that are not original will be disqualified whenever once any evidence is found. Any related legal disputes arising therefrom shall be borne by the Participator himself.
4. Organizing committee of competition - Topping Homestyler (Shanghai) Technology Co. Ltd reserves the right of final explanation.
